Let's Bring in Fall with CASology

It was the first day of actual cooler breezy weather here in VA and I'm eagerly waiting for the real appearance of fall. CASology has just the challenge for you this week to welcome in the change of seasons. Our cue card is: BARK.

Yes, you can totally interpret this cue card different ways, but this leaf die cut from the Tattered Leaves die by Stampers Anonymous and Tim Holtz was calling my name. I use my Zig Clean Color brush pens to watercolor these vibrant oranges and reds...wowsers! I dry embossed the tree bark texture into a cream piece of paper and tore it along all four edges, punching up the texture by rubbing some Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the raised areas and edges. Remember that Hero Arts copper embossing powder? Where I thought it would be the perfect color to coat (three times actually) my "thanks" die cut, also by Hero Arts. A few sequins and hello fall!

The rest of the DT has some great cards and lots of interpretations for you this week! Be sure to pop in below and show some love!

  3. This card is a beauty! Your bark looks amazing - the torn edges are perfect - and I love the rich colours of the leaf.
