Let's Talk, Not TEXT- CASology

It's CASology time and we have this week's new cue card!

Who doesn't love ROYGBIV :) I used my Zig Clean Color brush pens to color my typewriter. I use these pens directly on my stamps often and they never let me down. I put the stamp on my MISTI so that I could recolor areas and get good bold color. I didn't have any rainbow washi tape...for shame lol, but I did have one that was close so I altered it a bit. The Pitt Big Brush pens worked perfectly for this. They're India ink pens, so a couple of coats of purple and yellow over a few of the white stripes and I had perfectly matching washi!

The DT has some awesome inspiration for you this week! And check out our guest designer and wonderful sponsor this week!

Waiting on it to MELT

It's Tuesday! That means CASology is back with a new cue card. This week we're creating cards about chilly, icy, frosty things that will: MELT.

I've really been on a stencil kick lol. I sponged four of my favorite blue distress ink colors through a snowflake stencil, and then I did the thing that I'm always afraid I'll mess up... I die cut my sentiment directly into my image! Thank goodness for my t-square ruler :) I popped up the sentiment using some fun foam. It takes a little patience to glue it all together, but once you're done, you have a card with amazing dimension.

Swing by to see the DT's crafty creations for this week. And don't forget, there's a coupon code for our awesome sponsor this week- Stamplorations- 10% off using CASOLOGY.

Some Leafy Goodness with CASology

It's CASology time and we have some leafy goodness for you this week. Our new cue card is: FOLIAGE...and boy do I wish we were seeing more of it around here instead of this wintery mix!

I did some sponging through a Dylusions leaf stencil. I used a light and dark shade of each color and simply bumped the stencil so they would have a layered effect. I love how this looks kinda like some 3D magic :)

I wanted the edges of my card to be the same shiny gold as my sentiment, so I edged my card with Versamark watermark ink and heat set the gold embossing powder. I love this trick to make my cards shine!

The rest of the DT want to "leaf" you with some cool ideas this week too, so head on over to see them! And say hi to our guest designer this week!

Life's Landmarks with CASology

It's CASology Tuesday and our new cue card is: LANDMARK.

Blame it on the phase I'm in right now in my life, but I immediately
thought about accomplishments as landmarks and a card to celebrate them.

I watercolored some white cardstock and die cut it using the Ellen Hutson Bold Blossoms dies. I arranged them on some vellum, heat embossed my sentiment, and coated the flowers in some Wink of Stella. Lots of white space with pops of color...and very little stamping lol!

The rest of the DT has some great inspiration for you this week too! And please say hi to our guest designer!
