A Lil Something to CRUNCH on with CASology

Happy Tuesday! CASology has a new cue card that will really
give you something to chew on this week ;)

I used my favorite Copic coloring technique for animals- dots! I based with E41 and used E42, E43, and E44 for this super cute squirrel from Clearly Besotted's "Nutty but Nice" set. I did lots of masking for his stack of acorns and colored them using the same colors, just the darker shades for the acorn tops and lighter shades for the bottom portion.

I wanted the acorns to look more realistic, so I added some visual interest with a Copic 0.3 black multiliner.

You can see what awesomely squirrelly ideas the DT came up with this week! Click the list below and don't forget the guest designer and fantastic sponsor this week!

SCOREs of Cards with CASology

Welcome back to another CASology Tuesday!
Our cue card this week can be taken in tons of directions and I'm excited
to see what you "scratch" your head and come up with to showcase in the CASology gallery.

Can you believe I got this crazy cool camera stamp as a freebie with my order from STAMPlorations several weeks ago?! I totally love it! When I saw the cue card this week and that they were the sponsor, it was a no brainer.

I stamped the image, then placed the cardstock on a piece of fun foam. I made the score lines radiating from the flash using a rounded stylus, pressing into the foam to leave a nice impression. To make the score lines stand out, I blended some yellow ink over the top. Since the score lines are depressed, the ink doesn't get into the lines, leaving them white. Cool, right?!

The DT has lots of inspiration for this week, so go check them out! And don't forget to say hi to our guest designer and sponsor this week! And remember, during the weeks STAMPlorations is sponsoring us, you can refresh your craft stash with the help of the 10% off discount code, CASOLOGY!

ROMANCE and Uniko Studio

CASology is excited to share our new cue card on this Valentine's Day!
Of course we're bringing you a little ROMANCE.

These digital stamps of the floral heart image and sentiment were provided by our super sweet sponsor for the week, Uniko Studio, who is also celebrating their 5th Anniversary! They're giving these images away on their blog as a freebie!!!

I colored the flowers with Copic markers in shades of orange, pink, red, and purple. I wanted to layer the sentiment over it without losing the impact of the coloring, so I printed the sentiment on vellum and heat set it with gold embossing powder.

Tip: In case you didn't know, vellum isn't porous, so inkjet printer ink will sit on the top of the paper allowing you to use embossing powder with digi stamps if you work quickly...awesome right?! To get a good impression using this technique, I increase the ink volume under printer settings.

Be sure to check out the loving creations of the rest of the DT and our guest designer this week. And don't forget to help Uniko Studio celebrate their 5th Anniversary by showing them some love too!

New Release + Blog Hop + Giveaway with Precious Remembrance Shop

I hope you've enjoyed the blog hop so far! You should have arrived here from the talented Stephanie's blog, but you can retrace your steps at the links below.

How exciting are new releases??!! This one is gonna totally make your "day"...get it? lol
Precious Remembrance Shop has a new stamp set for you ---
the {Date Stamp Set} --- loaded with everything calendar oriented!

And as a thank you for joining our blog hop -
this set will only be $12.99 during our blog hop days (today until Friday)!

I'm sharing two, yes two, projects that I created with this stamp set!

I started with a 3" x 4"card for my Project Life album. With Valentine's Day around the corner (which I don't celebrate lol), I wanted something festive. I combined the Date Stamp Set with the large splat and heart trio from the {Happy Art Stamp Set} to complete this look. The gold embossing powder really kicked it up a notch!

My next project was a birthday card. In true form, a lady never reveals her age ;) So I used a star in place of the year. I love the sketchy look of the months, days, and numbers in this stamp set!

I did some rose gold foiling on the Stacked Stars die cut from Simon Says Stamp and layered the vellum on top. I hope she likes the card!

If you're a planner addict, Project Lifer, scrapbooker, journal lover...then you need this set!

And guess what?? We're giving you a chance to win it in a giveaway! Follow the blog hop below and the giveaway details and you may be the lucky winner! Up next is the fabulous Erica!

Show Your HERO Some Love with CASology

It's CASology Tuesday and we've got a "super" creative cue card for you this week- HERO!

I always reach for my Operation Write Home stamps from Hero Arts when I see a challenge about heroes. I love the sentiments and the images are great for our military heroes! This one-layer card is all about embossing powder, the "design triangle", and a CAS layout based on odd numbers lol :) My love of Ranger EPs  runs deep because they're so opaque and the colors are amazing. Here I used red, white, blue, silver and black. I even switched it up a bit and used light gray cardstock...just seemed a little more masculine :)

Time to check our CASology heroines and their cards this week!
