FORTUNE Telling at CASology

We're peeking into the future and trying to see what's in store for this week's CASology card artists. Our cue card is pretty unique this week and it's sure to stir up some ideas.

I immediately thought about fortune-telling and astrology and decided to use some watercolors. If you want your die cut images (or in this case, just an old school basic star printed from a Word document as a template) to have an organic random coloring look, don't try to cut first then color. Instead, color an area larger than you think you'll need, then arrange your die or template to capture the colors you like. I'd love to hear what works best for you!

You should definitely check out the other DT member inspirations this week too! I also want to welcome a new sponsor to CASology - Jaded Blossom Stamps.

BIG Ideas with CASology

Happy CASology Tuesday! We're back this week with a really "BIG" cue card :)

I have this super cute stamp set from Paper Artsy (JOFY 41) that showcases these huge berries and a big round dress. I thought they would be great to Copic color. To draw the eye into my focal image and make it look larger, I fussy cut away some of the border. I love her :)

Swing by the other DT and guestie's page for other big ideas! And of course STAMPlorations is sponsoring us, you can refresh your craft stash with the help of the 10% off discount code, CASOLOGY!

    CASology is Hitting the Books

CASology is back this week with a school-inspired theme. It's the first day of school for the kiddos here in my area, so this is such a fun cue card: EDUCATION.

    `

I chose a happy little stamp set by Lawn Fawn (Science of Love) layered on top of the notebook paper with washi corners stamp from an old Hero Arts Stamp Your Story set (My Notebook).

This was so relaxing and fun to create!

Lots of masking and different coloring media were used to pull this off: Barn Door and Broken China Distress Ink, C1, C3, C5, C7 Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, and Nuvo Crystal and Glitter Drops (Nuvo really is worth the praise it's gotten!)

Time to be inspired by the rest of the DT and our Guest Designer!
