SQUIGGLE with us at CASology

If you like to doodle, this week at CASology is perfect for you!

Our cue card is: SQUIGGLE.

I love rainbow color cards...and if you don't know some to the greats like Laura Bassen and Kelly Latevola, then you should definitely check them out!

I did some ink blending through a Donna Downey stencil called Changes. The squiggle of the leaf paired great with sentiment and loopy-dee-loop stamps from the Paper Artsy JOFY set 42.

Time to wiggle over the rest of the DT blogs to see their cards this week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Some Leafy Goodness with CASology

It's CASology time and we have some leafy goodness for you this week. Our new cue card is: FOLIAGE...and boy do I wish we were seeing more of it around here instead of this wintery mix!

I did some sponging through a Dylusions leaf stencil. I used a light and dark shade of each color and simply bumped the stencil so they would have a layered effect. I love how this looks kinda like some 3D magic :)

I wanted the edges of my card to be the same shiny gold as my sentiment, so I edged my card with Versamark watermark ink and heat set the gold embossing powder. I love this trick to make my cards shine!

The rest of the DT want to "leaf" you with some cool ideas this week too, so head on over to see them! And say hi to our guest designer this week!

Through the Opening with CASology

We're using all the holes, spaces, gaps, etc at CASology this week!

This Tulip Print stencil was to me by our awesome sponsor for this week- Stamplorations!
I loved the graphic design of the rows of flowers.

I sponged Twisted Citron, Evergreen Bough, and Mustard Seed Distress Inks
through the stencil, then covered it with clear embossing powder- that's the shine you see.
The sentiment is from Precious Remembrance Shop's  New Day stamp set.

Time to see how the other DT members went in and around their stencils this week!

Thanks for popping in and have a great day!!

Batman or Superman??

I'm back "knocking out" challenges today. This one was "super" fun to make :) I was inspired by both the layout over at CAS(E) this Sketch! and the code word at Addicted to CAS. I think this card packs a real "ka-pow"!

Heart of Gold for CASology

What an exciting week! My mommie visited for a few days, got some art journaling done, created cards for challenges, received an honorable mention and a feature for two of my creations, had my last appointment to finish my latest tattoo, traveled to DC for a couple of days, and still managed to go to work...whew!

I'm playing along today over at the CASology challenge blog. I was super inspired by Sandy Allnook's Go for the Gold series and really wanted to incorporate something shiny and gold into my creation for this challenge.  The cue card:

What a broad concept for me, but yes, I did take the lovey dovey road :) Here's my final card.
