BOUQUET of Love at CASology

Happy CASology Tuesday!
This week we have a cue card that screams for all things floral.

I'm addicted to this stamp set by Simon Says Stamp! I recently did 50 wedding invitation (blog post coming soon) using this image and I love love love it. I wanted to use some different colors from the normal V-day (which if you remember, I don't celebrate lol). This is a combo or Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks and May Green and Yellow Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. To keep it all one layer, I did a little bit of masking of the flower bouquet to build up the sentiment at the bottom of the card.

Check out the flowery love from the rest of the DT too!

Grateful Words with CASology

Ready for a new CASology cue card this week?
We're saying some loving, kind, caring words this week: CHERISH

Sometimes you just want to share your appreciation. This stamp set from Altenew had the perfect sentiment, "forever grateful." I colored the flower, bird, and even the sentiment with Zig clean color markers and added a few sequins. I love how graphic and bright this card turned out!

You've got to see the other DT inspirations this week.

Let's Talk, Not TEXT- CASology

It's CASology time and we have this week's new cue card!

Who doesn't love ROYGBIV :) I used my Zig Clean Color brush pens to color my typewriter. I use these pens directly on my stamps often and they never let me down. I put the stamp on my MISTI so that I could recolor areas and get good bold color. I didn't have any rainbow washi tape...for shame lol, but I did have one that was close so I altered it a bit. The Pitt Big Brush pens worked perfectly for this. They're India ink pens, so a couple of coats of purple and yellow over a few of the white stripes and I had perfectly matching washi!

The DT has some awesome inspiration for you this week! And check out our guest designer and wonderful sponsor this week!

All That GLISTENS

If you have a soft spot for shiny things, we have you covered at CASology this week!
Our new cue card is GLISTEN.

All that glistens, ain't gold...unless, of course you're making a card :) I got some new goodies in from Neat & Tangled and knew they would be perfect for this challenge! The heart and sentiment come together. I heat embossed both in gold detail embossing powder and then when to work with my Zig Clean Color brush pens and a water brush. I wanted to leave the right side of the heart less colored to give some balance since my sentiment was going on that side as well...my attempt at composition lol. A little strip of gold tape on the left side of the card and you have CAS card with lots of color and pop.

Tip: Using embossing powder to heat set images you want to watercolor
is a great way to prevent unintentional blending of colors!

The other DT members have some shining cards of inspiration to share too!
And be sure to say hi to our gracious sponsor for this week's prize!

All My Peeps at CASology

Guess what today is! Yes, Election Day in the US...finally!
More fun though, it's CASology Tuesday and we're all about a TEAM.

When I saw this cool little digi stamp from SamiStamps, I knew today's card was going to be all about my peeps :) I did all of the coloring with Zig Clean Color brush pens...they blend beautifully, even without water. That's how I pulled off the orange to yellow gradient on the pencil. I added a few little white dots and lines using my new favorite white marker...Sharpie water-based extra fine tip paint pen. This pen is amazing! I digress... I also added my sentiment on the pencil in Photoshop.

So speaking of teams, go see my awesome DT members' cards for this week!

Create It Wednesday ~ Let's Snow at Precious Remembrance Shop

I’m back for my last Create It Wednesday post where I’m showcasing the awesome {Oh Christmas} Stamp Set. I couldn’t let the release pass without throwing in some snowflakes!

This sentiment from the stamp set is amazing and was the inspiration for my projects. The tag was actually a happy accident lol. I had a blast playing with Yupo paper, alcohol inks, blending solution, and a snowflake stencil. And I'm totally in love with these snowflake dies from Simon Says Stamp!

You can find the details for today's post and all of my Create It Wednesday projects from the release of the {Oh Christmas} Stamp Set over at the Precious Remembrance Shop blog. Thanks for stopping by…now, go create!

Enjoy the Journey with CASology

I love to travel!!
Happy Tuesday! This week's cue card at CASology is perfect for me.
I'm currently in Cancun...on my own little journey as I celebrate one more lap around the sun :)
I'm awesomely blessed to make and photograph my card in this tropical paradise!

I always pack some art supplies when I travel and these three red rubber stamps, provided by tour super fab sponsor this week-- Rubber Dance Stamps called Travel, were on my packing list. I usually take a flexible medium like watercolor pens and pencils because I can make some very CAS art or use them get a little messy. This card was made by coloring Red, Orange, Yellow Green, and Green Zig Clean Color Brush Pens directly onto the "carte postale" stamp. A little huff and they stamp beautifully with full, bright color every single time!

Believe it or not, I used paper from the hotel notepad to mask off the words so I could stamp the globes (in Hickory Smoke DI). For blindly lining them up (no stamp positioner this trip lol), I think I did pretty good :) Lastly, I scribbled the Yellow-Green ZCCBP on a scrap of paper, stamped "free yourself" and made a flag. I'm so in love with this card! And I didn't use any filters on this pic, just boosted the exposure---wowsers lol.

You've gotta journey on over to the other DT member blogs and see their inspiration for this week!
