CASology is FLIPping Out!

Happy Tuesday! I'm back from a fabulous trip to Greece for rest and relaxation...didn't get very much of that though lol :) For this bi-weekly (just though the summer) CASology challenge, I was inspired by the very long flight, the colors of the church domes, and the blue in the sea and sky for this challenge.

I used blue cardstock as my base and die cut clouds from the Paper Smooches set Clouds...how easy was that to remember :) I stamped the paper airplanes and sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Flying By and heat embossed them. I thought the yellow would represent the sunlight in a strange artistic kinda way lol. I drew the hash marks by hand with my favorite white water-based paint pen by Sharpie...it's seriously the best extra fine point pen!

I think you'll love the DT inspirations (as always) this week!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see your card in the gallery! Here's a shot from sea level in Santorini, Greece :)

SPORTing Good Time at CASology

If you really like to play along with CAS (clean and simple) card challenges, then CASology will definitely keep your interest! Our cue card for the bi-weekly challenge (remember, after the summer we go back to weekly) is:

This was a background that I did a few weeks ago using Distress Ink and biscotti Perfect Pearls. As we wind down the summer, I'm sure we're looking for some creative ways to thank the sports coaches that guide, inspire, motivate, and train kids. This card would be perfect.

The DT has some really awesome interpretations of the cue card too,
so be sure to swing by and say hi!

Beautifull SUNBEAMs at CASology

It's summer time and there's plenty of sunshine!
Join us at CASology and show us your cards showcasing our cue card:

I'm channeling my inner Laura Bassen- the queen of rainbow sponging! Check out the link and be blown away. I wanted bright colors that would scream sunbeams, so I used Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Carved Pumpkin, and Barn Door Distress Inks. The stamp set is "Hello Beautiful" by Simon Says Stamp. For a teensy bit of shine and dimension, I covered the solid heart with black Nuvo crystal drops.

Check out the DT's bright cheery cards over the next 2 weeks...yep, this is an extended challenge for the summer :)
