Have FAITH with CASology

We're keeping the FAITH at CASology for this 2-week challenge.
This doesn't have to be a religious topic only- the DT came up with some great cards!

I finally got a chance to use a couple of pretty awesome stamps sets from Concord & 9th, "Faith and Love" and "Hello Lovely". The sentiments are from the first set and the flowers are from the latter. A huge shout out to Concord & 9th for putting the how-to instructions for the flowers on their website. I'm a little spatially challenged, so I sometimes struggle with layering stamps :)

I used all Distress Oxides for this card (except the sentiment)- Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, Lucky Clover, and Evergreen Bough. The sentiment was done with Vintage Sepia VersaFine ink, a perfect brown when you don't want the harshness of black ink! I dotted the flower centers with some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops and that was a CAS design all wrapped up.

Be sure to check out the other DT inspirations!

A Little APPRECIATION at CASology

CASology is doing some thank you's, we APPRECIATE you's, and all that heartfelt jazz!!

I was really inspired by the changing colors of the leaves around here. I love fall...I just wish it would last a lot longer! All of my coloring was done with Copic markers and this stamp set is from Simon Says Stamp (Fractile Leaves).  I think it was made for coloring!!

Head over to the  CASology blog to see all the other great ways the team crafted with this fortnight's cue card!

Ghosties and FOG for CASology

Happy Tuesday! We're working with a great cue card for this 2-week CASology challenge.

These stamp sets from Paper Smooches are a couple of my all-time favorite Halloweenish stamps! And no, I didn't get paid for saying that...really :) I used the girl and guy ghosties (to call them ghosts just seems too formal with their whimsical drawing style). I heat embossed them in white EP and then colored them with a white Prismacolor pencil. After stamping and embossing the sentiments, I used some White Unicorn pigment ink from Hero Arts to ink blend around the edges for the fog.

Spooky, cute, and colorful :) Trick or Treat!

The DT has some great interpretations of the cue card, so float over and check them out too.

A Round of DRAGONFLIES for CASology

Happy Tuesday! Even if you are afraid of insects of the flying type, you have to love this one that is inspiring our CASology challenge the next 2 weeks:

Let's just say this card was a mixture of I have stamps I haven't used yet (shocking right lol) and I have this wreath builder template that I have tried to use, but failed miserably all 3 times. I was determined to conquer both of those issues with this challenge :)

There's a small stamp set from Hero Arts w/Lia Griffith called "Love Bugs" and there are all kinds of cute little bugs and a sentiment (not the one I actually used on my card though). Armed with the tiny dragonfly and my 3.75" x 3.75" Gina K wreath builder template, I took to making the wheel of dragonflies. I used Zig Clean Color brush pens to color them in, with a pop of white colored pencil close to the body. A little gold embossing around the edge and for the sentiment (also from Hero Arts, "You're So Lovely". Finally...success!

LOL at a Yeti for CASology

How did we make it to September already?!! Well, I guess I can give into the holiday card designs now :) For the next 2 weeks, we want to see whatever you like to laugh at...or maybe something that is laughing on your card. Be creative; we can't wait to see your work!

I love this new stamp set I grabbed in the last few weeks, right before (sadly) Craftin Desert Divas went out of business. This snowboarding yeti looks like he is having a ball. I cut a strip of a stitched hill, colored the this dude with B0000, B00, B02, C1, C3, C7 Copic markers (colors I drew upon from the challenge below), and mounted him on top with a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Inks swirled behind him. Head over to my Instagram page to see close ups...he's so stinking cute!

If you like to giggle, please check out the other DT members' designs!
